DARK MODE?

Wrath of the Beast - Back to the Entrance - Fire Knight Avoidance

After obtaining the EARTH CRYSTAL, as shown in the previous section, a mostly solid floor appears between the alcove and the entrance, which is also the exit. The 2 levers on the side walls re-open the gate leading back to the HALL OF SEASONS. But, of course, it's not that easy.

When you step out into the room, 3 fire knights (1-3) appear and begin hurling fireballs in Lara's direction. If you don't care about the achievement/trophy for knocking knights into pits, you can avoid them instead.

Run straight forward into the room to spawn the knights.

Then immediately run or back flip into the falling water. This protects Lara somewhat as the knights approach. The goal is to draw them away from the levers. When the knights start launching fireballs...

....side flip out of the way, then back to the water.

When you see an opening, run/jump past the knight(s) to either lever.

Pull it. Then, if Lara has caught fire...

...run under one of the waterfalls...

...to extinguish the flames. Heal if necessary.

Then run to the second lever.

And use it to open the exit. Again, if Lara catches fire, head for the falling water near the exit...

...run through it to put out the flames, but don't bother healing. Just run through the open gate, and Lara's health will be restored as you re-enter the HALL OF SEASONS.

DARK MODE: I plan to add optional dark mode for these pages, but my current priority is updating the walkthroughs. Meanwhile, may I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's web store.)
