Wrath of the Beast - Alternative Path Across the Pit
If you're not interested in achievements/trophies, you can try this path instead of the one along the left side of the pit. There are a few tricky jumps, but it's a bit easier.
After the initial cutscene, drop down onto the ledge below on the right to get some bandages (2).
Pull up onto the dark corner ledge above (i.e., the near right corner relative to the entrance).
Turn left and take a running jump down to the reddish-brown ledge about halfway along the right wall.
Step out onto the narrow ledge running along the wall. (If you approach it at a walk, Lara will automatically turn her back toward the wall. Then just press left/right to maneuver.)
Sidestep all the way to the other side.
Then move onto the slightly lower green block. When Lara reaches the far edge...
...the block starts to tilt forward. Ride it across the pit and jump onto the reddish block directly ahead. This block starts to collapse as well, so immediately turn right...
...and take a standing jump to the next block...
...then a running jump to the next (in the far left corner of the room relative to the entrance).
Turn right, run up the collapsing steps, and jump at the top to land on the next block.
Run forward, vault up onto the next block, then next (in the far right corner relative to the entrance).
When you reach this corner ledge, you can breathe and quick-save again if you like. The rest of this sequence is the same regardless of which path you take, so continue with the next section.
