Caves - Running Jump Across Bear Pit
Hold Walk and move to the edge overlooking the pit.
Release Walk then press Back/Down to take a single hop back.
Hold Forward to start running, then almost immediately press and hold Jump, and Lara will run two steps...
...and take off into the air on the third...
...landing safely on the other side. (There's a save crystal here in NG+.)
This video from Tomb Raider 2 shows the same basic technique, with Lara grabbing a ledge (awning) on the far side of the gap. For this you'd do everything as described above but hold Action while Lara is in the air to grab. Then press Forward/Up to pull up.
DARK MODE: Even with brightness adjusted, dark images on a light background can be hard to see. May I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's web store.)
