IMPORTANT: Be sure to download the saves for the version you're playing, otherwise they may not load correctly.
If you are playing the PC game, I highly recommend downloading and installing the official version 52 patch, since it improves gameplay and fixes various bugs. (The GOG and Steam versions are automatically patched to version 52.) If you have already started playing and then use the patch, your original saves will no longer load. You should be able to find a version 52 save close to where you left off.
If you prefer not to patch but need a save file for a different reason, there is a selection of saves made with the original, un-patched game below the version 52 saves.
